This is a plain-language summary of the terms for using Tally. It is not a substitute for legal advice. Last updated September 15, 2026.
Terms of Service
Who runs Tally
Tally is run by Jake Hodges, an individual, not a company. By creating an account and using Tally, you agree to these terms. Contact jake@aifrontdesk.com with questions.
The service is provided as is
Tally is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. There is no guarantee that it will be available at all times, free of errors, or fit for any particular purpose.
Not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
Tally shows you information about your own accounts. Nothing in Tally, including net worth charts, spending summaries, forecasts, or any agent-generated insight, is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Do not rely on Tally to make financial decisions without your own judgment or a licensed advisor where appropriate.
Data accuracy
Balances, transactions, holdings, and liabilities shown in Tally come from Plaid and, through Plaid, from your financial institutions. This data can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong, particularly right after connecting an account or during a bank outage. Verify anything important, such as a balance before making a payment, directly with your bank.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Tally to access accounts you are not authorized to access
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other security controls
- Use Tally's API or MCP endpoint to scrape, resell, or redistribute data at scale
- Use Tally in any way that violates applicable law
Account security
You are responsible for keeping your password and second factor secure and for anything that happens through your account when accessed with your credentials. Tally requires a second factor (TOTP) for every account. If you lose access to your second factor, use your recovery codes; if you lose those too, contact jake@aifrontdesk.com.
Suspension and discontinuation
Tally may suspend or end the service, in whole or for your account specifically, with notice where practical, including for misuse, nonpayment of any applicable fees, legal or security reasons, or because the service is being shut down. You can export your data and delete your account at any time from Settings.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as Tally changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
